Art has always been a passion of mine. After high school I decided I wanted to study art full time and do what I love for the rest of my life. I'm working hard to stay where I am at The Cleveland Institute of Art, and I figured, why not crochet as well?  |

My shop is Ashley's Crazy Creations and shop assistant is Patricia Hartfield. We started our shop after my son and her grandson were born with a condition called Gastrochisis. This is when you are born with your intestines and liver outside your body. He was born at 3 lbs and we weren't exactly prepared for him being so small and his condition was much worse than we had anticipated. So we started making clothes baby blanket and everything baby related to help keep him warm. He was in the hospital for a hard two and a half months but came home healthy. He still has a condition that makes one leg and foot grow larger than the other but with the grace of god it doesn't slow him down.

We are a mother daughter team, that are both fairly new to Etsy.
We opened our shop last year in the fall. I learned how to crochet from my grandmother and I passed on the love of working with yarn to my children.
My Daughter helps me create items in the shop. My son, who knows how to crochet as well, chooses to help out with the technical part of the business. I have two beautiful grandchildren and as soon as they are old enough I can't wait to continue passing on my love of crocheting to them.

Hello!!I just opened my shop in January "Momma Be Hookin." I learned how to crochet from my Grandma, Aunts, and my Mom, hopefully soon I will be teaching my daughter. I started this shop this year to keep myself busy after dealing with some hard paths God is leading me down with my family. I'm also 29 years old and I've been disabled for the last 3-4 years with a condition called CRPS (complex regional pain dystrophy) I would much rather try to make a living like this then give in to my condition and go on Social Security but only time will tell.
