• Welcome to Solviashop Store! I live in Vilnius, in the Lithuania. I have opened my little shop almost 8 months ago and I am enjoying it enormously! I love to be in touch with customers and working out especially for them.  Using natural yarns and self-made patterns are my most important principles and promises to my customers.
  
  Reasons for using natural fibers
  Natural fibers are good for you and good for the environment. Cotton, wool, silk are comfortable to wear. For my items I use mainly pure natural yarn or yarn with a small percentage of synthetics.
  Natural fibers ‘breathe’, keeping you comfortable in hot weather by absorbing perspiration and releasing it into the air.
  When wool absorbs moisture, it produces heat, so if you go from a warm room into a cold, damp night wearing a wool socks, the wool picks up water vapour from the air, keeping you warm. The reverse occurs when you go back into the warm room – the moisture in your jersey passes into the atmosphere, cooling you down. Tiny pores in the cuticle cells allow water vapour to pass through the wool fibre. This makes wool comfortable to wear in both warm and cool conditions.  A few featured items from my Etsy Shop:

This set of potholders is made with a Dallas Cowboys print fabric with a solid dark blue fabric on the back and the binding both are 100% cotton. These would make great tail gate potholders or family gatherings on game day. These can also be used on your dining table as a trivet.No two pairs are exactly the same and all potholders are made with 100% cotton. I have gone one step further with my potholders and have added two layers of cotton batting plus 1 layer of insul bright material to keep your fingers from being burnt. They are machine stitched and machine quilted in a smoke free and pet free home.

• I love to create things, I can’t seem to stop. It improves my mood, gives me a chance to relax, and gives me the strength to deal with all of life’s stimuli and challenges.

I have many crafty skills I enjoy doing, but one of my favorites is Crochet. It is a forgiving and creative medium. I create every piece with love and care, creating each item individually and adapting the pattern as I go along. I usually do it while watching monster movies, when the yarn that I fell in love with at the yarn store tells me what it wants to be when it grows up. All yarn has special characteristics and must be treated individually.  Simple yarns usually want a more complicated stitch to accentuate their beauty.  Yet, complicated, variegated, or sequined yarn wants a more simple stitch pattern to show off their attributes to perfection.
